Narrow-band optical transmission of metallic nanoslit arrays

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that by introducing multi-dielectric layers underneath the metallic structure layer on the substrate, a narrow peak is formed, whose bandwidth can be down to a few nanometers and three types of resonance modes in the region under the metal layer are identified responsible for the formation of the peak.
