Encapsulation of Heteropolyanion‐Based Ionic Liquid within the Metal–Organic Framework MIL‐100(Fe) for Biodiesel Production
TL;DR: The front cover artwork for issue 3/2015 has been provided by a research group from the State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering, Nanjing Tech University as discussed by the authors, which depicts a new strategy to construct a composite of an ionic liquid, a polyoxometalate, and a metal-organic framework.

Novel approach for preparation of poly (ionic liquid) catalyst with macroporous structure for biodiesel production
TL;DR: An efficient poly (ionic liquid) catalyst for biodiesel production was synthesized from Bronsted acidic ionic liquid 1-vinyl-3-(3-sulfopropyl) imidazolium hydrogen sulfate [VSIM][HSO4] through free radical polymerization from a novel approach, where Fe3O4 particles acted as hard template as mentioned in this paper.

Preparation of metal-organic framework/attapulgite hybrid material for CO2 capture
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel HKUST-1/attapulgite hybrid material was synthesized by in situ method for CO2 capture, which was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).

Immobilization of a thiol-functionalized ionic liquid onto HKUST-1 through thiol compounds as the chemical bridge
TL;DR: In this article, a novel heterogeneous catalyst, IL@HKUST-1, with both Lewis and Bronsted acid sites, was developed for the esterification of oleic acid with short-chain alcohols.
