SNPs and haplotypes in the S100B gene reveal association with schizophrenia.
Jixia Liu,Yongyong Shi,Yongyong Shi,Junxia Tang,Junxia Tang,Tingwei Guo,Tingwei Guo,Xiuxia Li,Xiuxia Li,Yifeng Yang,Yifeng Yang,Qingying Chen,Qingying Chen,Xinzhi Zhao,Xinzhi Zhao,Guang He,Guang He,Guoyin Feng,Niufan Gu,Shaomin Zhu,Huijun Liu,Lin He,Lin He +22 more
TL;DR: The study showed an association between schizophrenia and a possible susceptible haplotype V3-V4 (G-C) which possesses a genetic tendency for increased S100B expression and indirect evidence for the GGF/SD hypothesis.

Abnormal changes of plasma acute phase proteins in schizophrenia and the relation between schizophrenia and haptoglobin (Hp) gene
Chunling Wan,Chunling Wan,Yujuan La,Yujuan La,Hong Zhu,Hong Zhu,Yifeng Yang,Yifeng Yang,Lei Jiang,Lei Jiang,Yongshuo Chen,Yongshuo Chen,G. Feng,Hui Li,H. Sang,X. Hao,G. Zhang,Lin He,Lin He +18 more
TL;DR: The results from proteomic and genomic aspects both indicate that acute phase reaction is likely to be an aetiological agent in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia, but not just an accompanying symptom.

Effects of genetic variants on lipid parameters and dyslipidemia in a Chinese population.
Yun Liu,Daizhan Zhou,Daizhan Zhou,Zhou Zhang,Zhou Zhang,Yiqing Song,Di Zhang,Teng Zhao,Zhuo Chen,Yun Sun,Dabing Zhang,Yifeng Yang,Qinghe Xing,Xinzhi Zhao,He Xu,Lin He,Lin He,Lin He +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the variants that associated with metabolic traits in Europeans may also play a role in a Chinese Han population, and these SNPs generated strong combined effects on lipid traits and dyslipidemia.

Identification of aberrant microRNA expression pattern in pediatric gliomas by microarray
Fatao Liu,Yuyu Xiong,Yang Zhao,Liming Tao,Zhou Zhang,Hong Zhang,Yun Liu,Yun Liu,Guoyin Feng,Baojie Li,Lin He,Lin He,Lin He,Jie Ma,Shengying Qin,Yifeng Yang +15 more
TL;DR: A better understanding of pediatric brain tumor biology is provided and the changed expression pattern of microRNAs in pediatric gliamas is identified, which may assist in the development of less toxic therapies and in the search for better markers for disease stratification.
Dysregulation of retinoid transporters expression in body fluids of schizophrenia patients.
Chunling Wan,Yifeng Yang,Huafang Li,Yujuan La,Hui Zhu,Lei Jiang,Yongshuo Chen,Guoyin Feng,Lin He +8 more
TL;DR: The expression of transthyretin (TTR) tetramer increased significantly in plasma of schizophrenic patients after a valid 2 months in-hospital antipsychotic treatment and the expression of the TTR tetramer and apolipoprotein E (ApoE) was down-regulated in CSF of schizophrenia patients compared to that of normal controls, which has not been reported previously.
