Simultaneous distribution of controllable switches and DGs considering environmental effects: a case study

The material parameters of soils have spatial variability. The covariance matrix decomposition method is used to discretize the random field to simulate the spatial variability of the soil, and the analysis of the influence of the spatial variability of the material parameters on the reliability of the slope helps to accurately judge the stability of the slope. Based on the strength reduction method and Monte Carlo method, the safety coefficient of each random field is determined and the reliability index of rainfall infiltration slope considering spatial variability is calculated. The results show that after considering the spatial variability of shear strength parameters, the slope reliability index becomes smaller and gradually decreases with the increase of soil correlation; compared with the horizontal correlation distance, the change of vertical correlation distance has a more obvious effect on the rainfall slope reliability index; the slope reliability index decreases with the increase of the coefficient of variation of shear strength parameters, and the effect of the coefficient of variation of internal friction angle is greater.

Reliability analysis of rainfall infiltration slopes considering spatial variability of material parameters

The miter gate of the ship lock will be corroded in the service process, which will cause the structural resistance degradation and affect the safe operation of the gate. It is of great significance for the long-term safe operation of the ship lock project to reasonably evaluate the impact of corrosion on the life of the gate. The main beam is the main bearing component of the miter gate, and its service life directly determines the life of the entire gate. In this paper, an evaluation method for the service life of miter gates is proposed, which combines the stochastic finite element method, the time-varying reliability analysis method and the standard evaluation criteria. Taking the miter gate of a ship lock as an example, the above method is used to evaluate the service life of the miter gate. The results show that the reliability index of the structure decreases linearly after a certain service life, and the remaining life is 32 years. The correctness and feasibility of this method are verified by the life evaluation formula. This method can more accurately evaluate the life of the gate as a whole, making up for the limitations of existing formulas in the life evaluation of complex integral structures.

Research on the Life Evaluation Method of the Miter Gate Based on Time-varying Reliability and Stochastic Finite Element Method

Reliability is a fundamental concept for power systems, and the optimal placement of switchable devices is a valuable tool for improvements in this area. The goal of this paper is to propose an optimal allocation method for circuit breakers and switches that can break the cost–reliability dilemma and simultaneously achieve reliability and economic improvement in terms of the distribution network. Moreover, in view of the fact that variations in the load level can affect the reliability of the distribution network, the variations of different load level scenarios are considered in this paper, where a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model based on fictitious fault flows is established to derive the optimal allocation scheme that can adapt to the changes of multiple scenarios regarding the load. Meanwhile, due to the constraints of reliability indices, the post-fault reconfiguration scheme of a distribution network under different load level scenarios can also be obtained to enhance its overall reliability. Finally, the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by numerical tests on a 54-node test system.
