Abstract: Abstract An efficient asymmetric vinylogous Mannich (AVM) addition reaction of 3-alkenyl-2-oxindoles to α-fluoroalkyl aldimines has been developed. This reaction provided various optical active α-alkylidene-δ-amino-δ-fluoroalkyl oxindoles in excellent yields, complete γ-site regioselectivity, and excellent diastereoselectivities.

Surgical choice for patients with stage I non-small-cell lung cancer ≤2 cm: an analysis from surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database.
TL;DR: Segmentectomy showed comparable survival compared with lobectomy in patients with stage I NSCLC ≤ 2 cm, and LND can provide more accurate pathological stage, may affect survival, and should be recommended for above patients.
