Evolution of silicate weathering in South China since 30 Ma: Controlling factors and global implications
Hualong Jin,Shiming Wan,Chang Liu,Debo Zhao,Wenqiang Pei,Zhaojie Yu,Jin Zhang,Zehua Song,Mengjun Li,Yi Tang,Anchun Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors present a long-term and continuous record of major and trace elemental compositions of clay-sized (<2 μm) siliciclastic sediment fractions from the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1501 in the northern South China Sea to reconstruct the evolutionary history of silicate weathering since 30 Ma and assess its links to tectonic/climate changes.

Expansion of C4 plants in South China and evolution of East Asian monsoon since 35 Ma: Black carbo+0n records in the northern South China Sea
Mengjun Li,Shiming Wan,Christophe Colin,Hualong Jin,Debo Zhao,Wenqiang Pei,Wenjun Jiao,Yi Tang,Yang Tan,Xuefa Shi,Anchun Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reconstruct the long-term evolution of terrestrial C3-C4 plants biomass in South China since the late Eocene using continuous records of the stable carbon isotopic compositions (δ13C) of black carbon extracted from sediments at International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1501 in the northern South China Sea (SCS).
