- 01 Dec 2019
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that combining monoethanolamine with long-chain fatty acids (LCFAs) of variable chain lengths through electrostatic attraction could develop a series of CO2-responsive surfactants with tunable switching pH.

Advanced Switchable Molecules and Materials for Oil Recovery and Oily Waste Cleanup
TL;DR: In this article, the recent advances in switchable molecules/materials in oil recovery and oily waste cleanup are reviewed and an outlook for the development of next-generation switchable molecule/material is discussed.

Liquid-solid triboelectric nanogenerators for a wide operation window based on slippery lubricant-infused surfaces (SLIPS)
TL;DR: In this article , Liang et al. proposed the integration of slippery lubricant-infused porous surfaces (SLIPS) as key TENG component, which is shown to operate effectively under extreme temperature and humidity.

Curvature effects on liquid–solid contact electrification
TL;DR: In this paper, the curvature-dependent charge transfer model for liquid-solid contact electrification (CE) was proposed to investigate its dependency on the curvatures of sample surfaces, and it was shown that convex surface (negative curvature) is more conducive to the charge transfer with liquid drops than that of a concave surface (positive curvature).
