Altered levels of circulating mitochondrial DNA in elderly people with sarcopenia: Association with mitochondrial impairment
TL;DR: In this article , the role of mtDNA in sarcopenia was investigated in elderly patients with DAMP-associated molecular pattern (DAMP) agent that can potentially elicit inflammation.

Increased level of free‐circulating MtDNA in maintenance hemodialysis patients: Possible role in systemic inflammation
Xiao-yi Zhong,Yi Guo,Zhen Fan +2 more
TL;DR: Mitochondrial DNA exposed to the extracellular space due to cell death and stress has immunostimulatory properties and the clinical significance of circulating MtDNA in maintenance hemodialysis patients is yet to be investigated.

Epileptic brain network mechanisms and neuroimaging techniques for the brain network
TL;DR: This review summarizes the relevant neuroimaging and neuroelectrophysiological techniques for assessing structural and functional brain networks in patients with epilepsy, and extensively analyze the imaging mechanisms, advantages, limitations, and clinical application ranges of each technique.

Association of circulating MtDNA with CVD in hemodialysis patients and in vitro effect of exogenous MtDNA on cardiac microvascular inflammation
TL;DR: In this article , the relationship between chronic kidney disease (CKD), microvessel, and circulating MtDNA in the settings of uremia was determined, and MtDNA levels in patients with MHD were significantly reduced after a single routine hemodialysis (pre 4.47 vs. post 3.45 × 105 copies/mL; p = 0.000).
