An underwater bearing-only multi-target tracking approach based on enhanced Kalman filter
Yuning Qian,Yawei Chen,Xinrong Cao,Jiutao Wu,Jun Sun +4 more
- 01 Aug 2016
TL;DR: The results of simulation study verify the effectiveness of the presented approach for bearing-only multi-target tracking and indicate that this approach is more beneficial than traditional CFAR and Kalman filter.

Tow Ship Interference Suppression for Towed Array Sonar via Subspace Reconstruction
Jiutao Wu,Xinrong Cao,Yawei Chen,Jun Sun +3 more
- 01 Oct 2018
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the steering vectors of signals are almost orthogonal to the interference-noise subspace, enabling this technique to suppress the tow ship interference as well as retain the signal output, making it a superior approach to eliminate the tow ships interference’s azimuth spread.

Binary array beam forming with simulated annealing method
Shikang Li,Xianzhe Xu,Rentuo Tao,Yawei Chen +3 more
- 01 Aug 2023
TL;DR: A simulated annealing-based algorithm is proposed for binary weighted beamforming, achieving 4.43 dB average side lobe reduction and 20 dB extra depth in presence of a jammer, utilizing 66.7% of array elements with increased main lobe width.

Automatic UAV Swarm Task Planning in Cooperative Region Coverage Detection based on Greedy Policy
Rentuo Tao,Shikang Li,Xianzhe Xu,Yawei Chen,Linghao Xia,Yuhao Yang +5 more
- 28 Oct 2022
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a top-down task planning algorithm based on greedy policy to tackle the problem of task planning in UAV cooperative detection, where the core idea of the proposed method lies in that they choose optimal detection trace from all trace candidates during each planning step in a greedy manner via a predefined performance indicator, and also proposed a simple but effective procedure for generate detection trace candidates by corner points and nearest border points extraction.

Broadband Aperture Extension of A Passive Sonar Array Using Multi-Dimension Autoregression Model
Yuning Qian,Yawei Chen,Xinrong Cao,Jun Sun +3 more
- 15 Oct 2020
TL;DR: This paper presents a broadband aperture extension approach of a passive sonar array based on multi-dimension autoregression (AR) model, integrated with failure element compensation, designed to recover the failure array elements to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of AR modeling and virtual element prediction.
