TL;DR: In this paper , the adsorption of polystyrene (PS) towards Cu2+ and the effects of UV-aging, environment pH, and salinity were systematically investigated, and it was shown that the PS's adsorship capacity increased with the UVaging time, as microcracks and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of the PS increased.

TL;DR: The two agricultural wastes have great potential to synchronously remove ammonium and phosphate from swine wastewater and based on the point of zero charge, FTIR and XPS analyses, ammonium was removed mainly by electrostatic attraction, ion exchange and surface precipitation, while phosphate was by ligand exchange, surface complexation and precipitation.
