Metastasectomy Versus Non-Metastasectomy for Giant Cell Tumor of Bone Lung Metastases.
Shinji Tsukamoto,Andreas F. Mavrogenis,Yuu Tanaka,Akira Kido,Kanya Honoki,Yasuhito Tanaka,Costantino Errani +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed a systematic review to compare metastasectomy and non-metastasectomy for GCTB patients with operable lung metastasis, and found that mortality rates were similar for the patients who had metastasections compared with those who did not, with an overall pooled odds ratio of 0.64 (P=36).

All-atom molecular dynamics study of hepatitis B virus containing pregenome RNA in solution.
Kazushi Fujimoto,Youhei Yamaguchi,Ryo Urano,Wataru Shinoda,Tetsuya Ishikawa,Katsumi Omagari,Yasuhito Tanaka,Atsushi Nakagawa,Susumu Okazaki +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed a long-time molecular dynamics calculation of the entire hepatitis B virus (HBV) capsid containing pregenome RNA to investigate the interactions between the capsid and negatively charged substances.

Low concentrations of alendronate increase the local invasive potential of osteoblastic sarcoma cell lines via connexin 43 activation.
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of BPs on cellular aggressiveness of malignant bone tumors at low concentrations was investigated, and it was shown that low-concentration of BBP enhanced cellular viability and motility, which correlated with the expression of connexin 43 at mRNA and protein levels.
Marked heterogeneity in the diagnosis of compensated cirrhosis of patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection in a real-world setting: A large, multicenter study from Japan.
Hidenori Toyoda,Masanori Atsukawa,Tsunamasa Watanabe,Makoto Nakamuta,Haruki Uojima,Akito Nozaki,Koichi Takaguchi,Shinichi Fujioka,Etsuko Iio,Toshihide Shima,Takehiro Akahane,Shinya Fukunishi,Toru Asano,Kojiro Michitaka,Kunihiko Tsuji,Hiroshi Abe,Shigeru Mikami,Hironao Okubo,Tomomi Okubo,Noritomo Shimada,Toru Ishikawa,Akio Moriya,Joji Tani,Asahiro Morishita,Chikara Ogawa,Yoshihiko Tachi,Hiroki Ikeda,Naoki Yamashita,Satoshi Yasuda,Makoto Chuma,Akemi Tsutsui,Atsushi Hiraoka,Tadashi Ikegami,Takuya Genda,Akihito Tsubota,Tsutomu Masaki,Katsuhiko Iwakiri,Takashi Kumada,Yasuhito Tanaka,Takeshi Okanoue +39 more
TL;DR: Investigating the real-world diagnosis of cirrhosis in DAA-naïve patients who underwent a 12-week GLE/PIB regimen found the severity of liver fibrosis overlapped significantly between patients in whom compensated cirrhotic disease was determined to be present and patients in which Cirrhosis was absent.

Nontraumatic tibial polyethylene insert cone fracture in mobile-bearing posterior-stabilized total knee arthroplasty
Yohei Tanikake,Koji Hayashi,Munehiro Ogawa,Yusuke Inagaki,Kenji Kawate,Tetsuya Tomita,Yasuhito Tanaka +6 more
TL;DR: This analysis shows the risk of tibial insert cone fracture due to longitudinal stress in mobile-bearing posterior-stabilized total knee arthroplasty in which an insert is designed to highly conform to the femoral component.
