A Synergetic Enhancement Strategy of Light Utilization and Carrier Transfer for UV Photodetection Associated with the Artificial Resonance Nano-Cavities

Perovskites have been broadly considered as the most suitable materials for the fabrication of artificial synapses because of easily formed conductive filaments via ion migration, which are of great potential for the construction of a neuromorphic computing system with an extraordinary capacity for parallel massive information processing at an ultralow energy consumption. Based on the synaptic transmission behavior in biological system, three distinct factors are suggested for the realization of fundamental synaptic functions: the paired-pulse facilitation (PPF) index, duration of long-term plasticity (LTP), and realization of spike-timing-dependent plasticity (STDP). To enhance these parameters, we discuss the mechanisms of these factors based on the formation of vacancies, regulation of band gap, and inhibition of hole-electron recombination and suggest that element replacement and structural modification can significantly improve the parameters. Owing to the well-balanced performance and biocompatibility, the lead-free perovskite synapses are believed as a savior for the artificial intelligence techniques engaging in neuromorphic computing.

A multiplex assay of mycotoxins in food and medicine is urgently needed and challenging due to synergistic hazards of trace mycotoxins and a lack of sensitive and user-friendly detection approaches. Herein, a cobalt DNA-inorganic hybrid superstructure (Co@DS) was developed through isothermal rolling circle amplification (RCA) for an ultrasensitive chemiluminescence (CL) imaging assay of multiple mycotoxins. Cobalt ions were enriched in the RCA product, endowing the Co@DS with a high CL catalytic property. Experimental studies elucidated the formation and CL catalytic mechanism of Co@DS. Co@DS was facilely integrated with biotinylated DNA to function as a universal platform and combined with a disposable immunosensor array chip. After a competitive immunoassay and biotin-avidin recognition, the CL signals of luminol and hydrogen peroxide, catalyzed by Co@DS captured on each testing zone of the array chip, were imaged simultaneously. Target mycotoxins can be quantitated by CL intensities. To validate the concept, the CL imaging approach was employed for joint determination of aflatoxin B 

Ultrasensitive Imaging Assay of Multiple Mycotoxins Using Cobalt DNA–Inorganic Hybrid Superstructure with High Chemiluminescence Catalytic Property

Abstract Eco‐friendly, disintegrable encapsulation materials are gaining attention as alternatives to conventional plastics in electronic devices. However, achieving simultaneous oxygen and moisture barrier performance with high optical transparency remains challenging. In this work, a large‐area hybrid encapsulation composite films are developed by infiltrating polylactic acid (PLA) into TEMPO‐oxidized cellulose nanofibers (ToCN) via a capillary rise infiltration (CaRI) process, achieving a uniform film over an area of 230 × 175 mm 2 . The ToCN‐PLA hybrid film exhibits over 90% transmittance in the visible range, along with significantly reduced oxygen permeability and water vapor transmission rate of 3 mL·m −2 ·day −1 Pa −1 and 30 mL·m −2 ·day −1 , respectively, compared to the individual PLA and ToCN films, while also offering biodegradability. Moreover, the hybrid film demonstrates excellent mechanical properties, with tensile strength and Young's modulus improved by ≈30% and 26%. Furthermore, device integration tests using 2D halide perovskite‐based photodetectors demonstrate that encapsulation with the hybrid film significantly enhances operational stability in humid and oxygen‐rich environments, achieving a 1.3 fold increase in T 70 lifetime relative to conventional poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) encapsulation layers. These results demonstrate that CaRI produced ToCN‐PLA composite film can effectively overcome individual material limitations, providing a scalable and sustainable strategy for next‐generation optoelectronic encapsulation.

Two-dimensional (2D) organic−inorganic perovskites have great potential for the fabrication of next-generation photodetectors owing to their outstanding optoelectronic features, but their utilization has encountered a bottleneck in anisotropic carrier transportation induced by the unfavorable continuity of the thin films. We propose a facile approach for the fabrication of 0D ZnO quantum dot (QD)/2D (PEA)2PbI4 nanosheet hybrid photodetectors under the atmospheric conditions associated with the ZnO QD chloroform antisolvent. Profiting from the antisolvent, the uniform morphology of the perovskite thin films is obtained owing to the significantly accelerated nucleation site formation and grain growth rates, and ZnO QDs homogeneously decorate the surface of (PEA)2PbI4 nanosheets, which spontaneously passivate the defects on perovskites and enhance the carrier separation by the well-matched band structure. By varying the ZnO QD concentration, the Ion/Ioff ratio of the photodetectors radically elevates from 78.3 to 1040, and a 12-fold increase in the normalized detectivity is simultaneously observed. In addition, the agglomeration of perovskite grains is governed by the annealing temperature, and the photodetector fabricated at a relatively low temperature of 120 °C exhibits excellent stability after a 50-cycle test in the air condition without any encapsulation.

High Performance 0D ZnO Quantum Dot/2D (PEA)2PbI4 Nanosheet Hybrid Photodetectors Fabricated via a Facile Antisolvent Method

The cobalt metal–organic framework (Co-MOF) is a kind of crystalline porous material within a periodic network structure, which is formed via the self-assembly of a Co metal center and a bridged organic ligand. In this paper, a Co-MOF was facilely synthesized via an ultrasonic method and applied to enhance the chemiluminescence (CL) emission of the NaIO4-H2O2 system. The synthesized Co-MOF was nanosheet-like in nature and stacked in 2–3-micrometer flower shapes. Compared to the NaIO4-H2O2 system without a Co-MOF, the CL intensity of the Co-MOF-NaIO4-H2O2 system was enhanced about 70 times. This CL mechanism was determined to be a result of the synergistic effects of chemiluminescence resonance energy transfer (CRET) and electron–hole annihilation (EHA). The Co-MOF not only acted as a catalyst to accelerate the generation of reactive oxygen species in the CL reaction, but also worked as an emitter to further enhance the CL. Based on the Co-MOF-NaIO4-H2O2 system, a highly sensitive CL analysis method was established for pyrogallol (PG) detection. Addition of PG into the CL system generated 1O2*, which could transfer energy to the Co-MOF and further enhance the CL response. The enhanced CL was linear with the PG concentration. The CL analysis method exhibited a linear range of 1 × 10−4 M to 1 × 10−7 M, as well as having a linear correlation coefficient of 0.9995 and a limit of detection of (S/N = 3) of 34 nM.
