Clinical applications of IDDSI framework for texture recommendation for dysphagia patients.
Mingsong Su,Gangying Zheng,Yanqiu Chen,Hua Xie,Weijia Han,Qing Yang,Jianqin Sun,Zhihong Lv,Jianshe Chen +8 more
TL;DR: Results from this work clearly demonstrated that the severity of dysphagia by water-based swallow tests correlates positively with the IDDSI fluid thickness aimed at reducing Dysphagia symptoms in those patients, confirming the reliability and feasibility ofIDDSI framework for clinical applications.

Genetic variants in desaturase gene, erythrocyte fatty acids, and risk for type 2 diabetes in Chinese Hans
TL;DR: Examination of the association of the genetic variants in the fatty acid desaturase (FADS) gene cluster with erythrocyte phospholipid fatty acids (PLFA) and their relation to risk for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Han Chinese found high levels of PL 18:3 ω-3, 22:5 ω3, and total ψ-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid were associated with low risk for T2DM.

Modulation of the Association between the PEPD Variant and the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes by n-3 Fatty Acids in Chinese Hans.
TL;DR: The association between the PEPD genetic variant and the risk of T2D was modulated by n-3 fatty acids, which may abolish the adverse effect of the risk allele at PEPD for T1D.

Effect of iron supplementation on iron deficiency anemia of childbearing age women in Shanghai
Zhengyuan Wang,Jianqin Sun,Lu Wang,Min Zong,Yanqiu Chen,Yi-fan Lin,Danfeng Xu,Jing-jing Jiang,Yiru Pan,Jianhua Piao,Zhenwu Huang,Xiaoguang Yang +11 more
TL;DR: The anemic status in child bearing age women could be improved by providing iron 8 mg daily for six months consecutively, which can meet the requirement of maintaining normal iron storage for childbearing age women.

Interaction between Erythrocyte Phospholipid Fatty Acids Composition and Variants of Inflammation-Related Genes on Type 2 Diabetes
Kelei Li,Tao Huang,Ju-Sheng Zheng,Jianqin Sun,Yanqiu Chen,Hua Xie,Danfeng Xu,Jian-Bo Wan,Duo Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the interaction between erythrocyte phospholipid (PL) fatty acids and variants of inflammation-related genes in Chinese population was investigated, and a total of 6 genes were identified.
