Molecular basis for nucleotide conservation at the ends of the dengue virus genome.
Barbara Selisko,Supanee Potisopon,Rym Agred,Stéphane Priet,Isabelle Varlet,Yann Thillier,Corinne Sallamand,Françoise Debart,Jean-Jacques Vasseur,Bruno Canard +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown that NS5PolDV contains a specific priming site for adenosine 5′-triphosphate as the first transcribed nucleotide in the dengue virus, and that these conservational mechanisms, mediated by the polymerase alone, may extend to other RNA virus families having RdRps initiating RNA synthesis de novo.
Ecological catalysis and phytoextraction: Symbiosis for future
Vincent Escande,Laetitia Garoux,Claire Grison,Yann Thillier,Françoise Debart,Jean-Jacques Vasseur,Clothilde Boulanger,Claude Grison +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used metallophyte plants derived from phytoextraction as starting materials to prepare novel polymetallic catalysts for green catalysts that brought new possibilities in Green Catalysis, that they named "Ecological Catalysis".
Bacillus subtilis RNA deprotection enzyme RppH recognizes guanosine in the second position of its substrates
Jérémie Piton,Valéry Larue,Yann Thillier,Audrey Dorléans,Olivier Pellegrini,Inès Li de la Sierra-Gallay,Jean-Jacques Vasseur,Françoise Debart,Carine Tisné,Ciarán Condon +9 more
TL;DR: The crystal structures of Bacillus subtilis RppH bound to GTP and to a triphosphorylated dinucleotide RNA are presented, highlighting important structural and functional differences between BsRppH and the RNA deprotection enzymes of distantly related bacteria.

Wang,Jonathan K. Watts,Anastasia Khvorova +45 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed a comprehensive screening of siRNA chemical architectures and identified an effective multimeric platform for local lung delivery, using this platform, they designed and screened over 200 siRNAs and antisense oligonucleotides targeting highly conserved regions within the SARS-CoV-2 genome.

Combinatorial Library Screening with Liposomes for Discovery of Membrane Active Peptides
Randy P. Carney,Yann Thillier,Zsofia Kiss,Amir Sahabi,Jean Carlos Heleno Campos,Alisha Knudson,Ruiwu Liu,David J. Olivos,Mary Saunders,Lin Tian,Kit S. Lam +10 more
TL;DR: A new branch of assays featuring high-throughput functional screening capable of discovering new peptides with tailored cell uptake and endosomal escape capabilities is described, identified several new highly potent MAPs that improve on current standards and introduce motifs that were previously unknown or considered unsuitable.
