The influences of processing parameters on forming characterizations during laser rapid forming
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of the processing parameters on forming characterizations systematically and found that the height of a single cladding layer was very important for fabrication accuracy and forming stability of components of laser rapid forming.

Columnar to equiaxed transition during alloy solidification
TL;DR: In this paper, the columnar and equiaxed growth behaviors were investigated systematically during solidification of multicomponent alloys, considering the local linear superposition of the species and combining the calculation of phase diagram.

In situ fabrication of bioceramic composite coatings by laser cladding
TL;DR: In this paper, a bioceramic composite coating was fabricated onto AISI 316L stainless steel in situ by laser cladding with mixed powders of CaHPO 4 •2H 2 O and CaCO 3 without a bonding agent.

Self-consistent modeling of morphology evolution during unidirectional solidification
TL;DR: In this article, a self-consistent model is developed to describe the morphology evolution during unidirectional solidification, which shows that, for a given temperature gradient, the interface morphology will go planar→shallow cell→deep cell→dendrite→cell→planar with increasing growth velocity.
