Studies on directional breaking controlled theory of slotted cartridge blasting for rock
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors adopted the red sandstone as a blasting medium, studied the mechanism of rock breaking caused by slotted cartridge blasting, analyzed the crack distribution characteristics, set up "rock-explosion crack" of three-dimensional reconstruction model, and accurately described the explosion crack location and shape of space distribution.

Investigation of the interaction mechanism of two dynamic propagating cracks under blast loading
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the interaction mechanism between cracks and show that the local stress field significantly superposes when the distance between the two opposite propagating cracks is within a critical distance, resulting in an increase in both the dynamic stress intensity factors and the crack velocities during the crack interactions.
