Borondipyrromethene-derived Cu2+ sensing chemodosimeter for fast and selective detection
Chunchang Zhao,Peng Feng,Jian Cao,Xuzhe Wang,Yang Yang,Yulin Zhang,Jinxing Zhang,Yanfen Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: A new Cu(2+)-selective fluorescent turn-on probe BODIPY-EP, in which the 2-pyridinecarboxylic acid is connected to a 6-hydroxyindole-based B ODIPY platform through an ester linkage, which demonstrates fast response, large fluorescence enhancement and high selectivity.

BODIPY-based sulfoxide: Synthesis, photophysical characterization and response to benzenethiols
Chunchang Zhao,Xuzhe Wang,Jian Cao,Peng Feng,Jinxin Zhang,Yanfen Zhang,Yang Yang,Zhenjun Yang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, two BODIPY dyes bearing a sulfur-containing function at the 3 position are reported, and the 3-benzylthio compound shows spectroscopic features of the classical BODIA platform, showing minor solvent dependent spectral shift, a relative small Stokes shift and a high fluorescence quantum yield.

6-Hydroxyindole-based borondipyrromethene: Synthesis and spectroscopic studies
Chunchang Zhao,Peng Feng,Jian Cao,Yulin Zhang,Xuzhe Wang,Yang Yang,Yanfen Zhang,Jinxin Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: It is found that the light-color of the fluorophore can be tuned over a wide range by changing the polarity of solvent/base combinations, and the absorption color of the solution can be tuning over a range of 100 nm.

Construction of BODIPY-CTAB assembles for ratiometric fluorescence pH measurements in complete water system
TL;DR: In this paper, two 6-hydroxyindole-based boron-dipyrromethenes (BODIPYs) were physically trapped inside the hydrophobic core of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) micelles, while ensuring solubility of the assembly in water.
