Variation in accumulation, transport, and distribution of phthalic acid esters (PAEs) in soil columns grown with low- and high-PAE accumulating rice cultivars.
Yang Wu,Xue-Xue Chen,Ting-Kai Zhu,Xing Li,Xiao-Hong Chen,Ce-Hui Mo,Yan-Wen Li,Quan-Ying Cai,Ming Hung Wong,Ming Hung Wong +9 more
TL;DR: The variations in vertical migration and accumulation of DBP and DEHP by the two cultivars implied different adverse effects on the security of groundwater and food.

Variations in microbial community and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) dissipation in different rhizospheric compartments between low- and high-DEHP accumulating cultivars of rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Xue-Xue Chen,Yang Wu,Xian-Pei Huang,Huixiong Lü,Hai-Ming Zhao,Ce-Hui Mo,Hui Li,Quan-Ying Cai,Ming Hung Wong +8 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the variations in microbial community and DEHP dissipation among different soil rhizospheric compartments between low (Fengyousimiao) and high (Peizataifeng) DEHP-accumulating cultivars of rice (Oryza sativa L.) grown in DEHP spiked soil revealed that both bacterial and fungal diversity and community structure were significantly different in rhizosphere soils of the two cultivars.

Applying β-cyclodextrin to amaranth inoculated with white-rot fungus for more efficient remediation of soil co-contaminated with Cd and BDE-209.
Xing Li,Ao Yu Chen,Yang Wu,Li Wu,Lei Xiang,Hai-Ming Zhao,Quan-Ying Cai,Yan Wen Li,Ce Hui Mo,Ming Hung Wong,Hui Li +10 more
TL;DR: The results revealed that RF+β0.8 treatment possessed the greatest Cd removal efficiency due to its well-configured mesophyll cells and the highest shoot biomass, chlorophyll concentration, and shoot Cd concentration, while considering simultaneous removal of Cd and BDE-209 from soil is a promising way forward.
