Mutations in exon 17B of cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) cause pseudoachondroplasia.
Jacqueline T. Hecht,Laura D. Nelson,Eric Crowder,Yang Wang,Frederick F.B. Elder,Wilbur Harrison,Clair A. Francomano,Christa Prange,Gregory G. Lennon,Michelle Deere,Jack Lawler +10 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that mutations in the COMP gene cause pseudochondroplasia, a well characterized dwarfing condition mapping to chromosome 19p12–13.

Hereditary multiple exostoses (EXT): mutational studies of familial EXT1 cases and EXT-associated malignancies.
Jacqueline T. Hecht,Deborah Hogue,Yang Wang,Susan H. Blanton,Michael J. Wagner,Louise C. Strong,Wendy H. Raskind,Mark Hansen,Dan E. Wells +8 more
TL;DR: Detailed loss of heterozygosity (LOH) analysis of chondrosarcomas and chondroblastomas revealed multiple LOH events at loci on chromosomes 3q, 8q, 10q, and 19q, which agree with previous findings that mutations at EXT1 and multiple genetic events that include LOH at other loci may be required for the development of chondsarcoma.
