The invention discloses a preparation method of a graphene oxide and magnetic sludge biochar composite material applied to removal of low-concentration imidacloprid in water. The method specifically comprises the following steps: pyrolyzing sludge; then, synthesizing CoFe2O4 from Co(NO3)2.6H2O and FeCl3.6H2O under the alkaline condition, and compounding the CoFe2O4 and sludge biochar SBC to prepare magnetic sludge biochar CoFe2O4-SBC; loading graphene oxide GO to the CoFe2O4-SBC; and finally, carrying out secondary calcination treatment to obtain GO/CoFe2O4-SBC. The material prepared in the invention has strong magnetism, can be effectively separated from a water body after adsorption, has a high removal rate on the low-concentration imidacloprid in the water, and has a maximum adsorptioncapacity of 9.79 * 10 [mu] g/g at 35 DEG C.
