An Innovative Emergy Quantification Method for Eco-economic Compensation for Agricultural Water Rights Trading
TL;DR: Based on the emergy theory of ecological economics and externality theory, the eco-economic losses of water sellers caused by agricultural water rights trading are analyzed in this article, where an innovative emergy quantification method that includes economic, social, and eco-environmental compensation is proposed.

Emergy evaluation of human health losses for water environmental pollution
TL;DR: It is indicated that among the factors, water quality is the direct inducement of healthy loss, the socio-economic development is the leading force effecting the value, and the Medicare is the final determinant of the public burden.

Emergy Analysis and Ecological Spillover as Tools to Quantify Ecological Compensation in Xuchang City, Qingyi River Basin, China
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used ecological spillover (the amount of local ecosystem services not used in the region and thus flows to downstream areas) and emergy analysis to determine the amount of eco-compensation that the city of Xuchang should pay to the upstream city of Xinzheng from 2010 to 2014.

Quantitative Analysis of Eco-economic Benefits of Urban Reclaimed Water Greening Based on Emergy Theory
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the eco-economic benefits of using reclaimed water as irrigation water and proposed a new quantitative method based on the emergy theory to calculate the costs of different irrigation water, the other use benefits of the saved tap water, and the benefits of scientific research, leisure and entertainment, carbon fixation and oxygen release, biodiversity protection, soil conservation and air purification.

The Joint Optimal Allocation Study of Regional Total Water Consumption and Pollutant Carrying Capacity of Water Function Areas Based on Emergy Theory
TL;DR: In this paper, a joint optimal allocation model of regional water consumption and pollutant carrying capacity is constructed, which realizes the reverse constraint relationship between water quantity and pollution carrying capacity in the water quality and quantity conversion processes.
