Chemical modification of silica-gel with hydroxyl- or amino-terminated polyamine for adsorption of Au(III)
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption kinetics of the five adsorbents for Au(III) under different temperatures were investigated and the results showed that the amino-terminated polyamine grafted silica-gels exhibited higher adorption rates than the hydroxylterminated ones.

Preparation and property of polyvinyl alcohol-based film embedded with gold nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this article, gold nanoparticles were prepared by a simple heat-treated method using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as reducing and stabilizing agent, and the formation of a sharp band at ~530 nm in the UV/Vis spectra and morphological characters revealed by transmission electron microscopy indicated the generation of Au nanoparticles.

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes@C@SnO 2 quantum dots and SnO 2 quantum dots@C as high rate anode materials for lithium-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this paper, the SnO2 quantum dots anchored on amorphous carbon coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs@C@SnO2) were designed and fabricated by a solvothermal process accompanied by a high temperature calcination treatment.

Adsorption properties of novel chelating resins containing 2‐amino‐5‐methylthio‐1,3,4‐thiadizole and hydrophilic spacer arms for Hg2+ and Ag+
TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption properties of newly formed chelating resins that contained a heterocyclic functional group and a hydrophilic spacer arm of poly(ethylene glycol) [polystyrene-diethylene glycol]-2-amino-5-methylthio-1,3,4-thiadizole (PS-TEG-AMTZ)] were studied in detail.
