Dopamine D1 receptor agonist A68930 attenuates acute kidney injury by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that activation of DRD1 by A68930 inhibited renal and systematic inflammation, and improved kidney function in I/R induced AKI model, which was probably related to the inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasome activation.

Diaphragmatic dysfunction associates with dyspnoea, fatigue, and hiccup in haemodialysis patients: a cross-sectional study
Bin Wang,Qing Yin,Ying-yan Wang,Yan Tu,Yu-Chen Han,Min Gao,Ming-Ming Pan,Yan Yang,Yufang Xue,Li Zhang,Liuping Zhang,Hong Liu,Ri-Ning Tang,Xiaoliang Zhang,Jingjie Xiao,Xiaonan H. Wang,Bi-Cheng Liu +16 more
TL;DR: It is found that the incidence of dyspnoea and hiccup and the fatigue scores, all of which were related to diaphragmatic dysfunction, were significantly higher in HD patients than in controls (all p < 0.01).
MicroRNA26a inhibits cisplatin-induced renal tubular epithelial cells apoptosis through suppressing the expression of transient receptor potential channel 6 mediated dynamin-related protein 1.
TL;DR: It is unveiled that miR‐26a/TRPC6/DRP1 is a novel protective pathway in cisplatin‐induced AKI and may be targeted for the prevention and treatment of drug‐related renal injury.

Association Between the Serum Uric Acid Level and the Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in a Retrospective Study of China Nondialysis CKD Patients.
TL;DR: The SUA level may serve as a predictor of the severity of CAS among nondialysis CKD patients with CAD with CAD, and this relationship was not observed with SUA as a categorical variable.

Association of lipoprotein(a) and coronary artery disease in 1003 patients with stage 3-5 chronic kidney disease undergoing coronary angiography.
Li-Hua Lin,Hong Liu,Yan Tu,Yan Yang,Bin Wang,Feng-Mei Wang,Min Wu,Ming-Ming Pan,Ri-Ning Tang,Kun-Ling Ma,Xiaoliang Zhang,Bi-Cheng Liu +11 more
TL;DR: Higher Lp(a) levels were associated the presence of CAD and the severe CAS among patients with stage 3–5 CKD independently and after adjusting for potential confounders.
