Copper-Based Metal-Organic Framework Overcomes Cancer Chemoresistance through Systemically Disrupting Dynamically Balanced Cellular Redox Homeostasis.
Jian Liu,Ye Yuan,Yanni Cheng,Daan Fu,Zhongyin Chen,Yan Wang,Lifa Zhang,Chundong Yao,Lin Shi,Mingyi Li,Cheng-peng Zhou,Meizhen Zou,Guobin Wang,Lin Wang,Zheng Wang +14 more
TL;DR: Along with CuHPT's good biocompatibility, biochemical, cell biological, preclinical animal model data provide compelling evidence supporting the notion that this copper-based MOF is a predesigned smart therapeutic against drug-resistant cancers through precisely deconstructing their redox homeostasis.

Melanosome-Targeting Near-Infrared Fluorescent Probe with Large Stokes Shift for in Situ Quantification of Tyrosinase Activity and Assessing Drug Effects on Differently Invasive Melanoma Cells.
TL;DR: A melanosome-targeting near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe (HB-NP) with a large Stokes shift is synthesized, achieving a highly sensitive and selective in situ detection for intracellular TYR, by incorporating a m-hydroxybenzyl moiety that recognizes TYR specifically and the morpholine unit which facilitates the probe accumulating in the melanosomes into a salicyladazine skeleton.

An Acetone Sensor Based on Plasma-Assisted Cataluminescence and Mechanism Studies by Online Ionizations
TL;DR: By the fabrication and relative comprehensively understanding of the PA-CTL sensor for acetone detection, this work would promote the development of CTL sensing techniques and inspire a potential pathway for the rapid and non-invasive diagnosis.

DNA Cross‐Linking Patterns Induced by an Antitumor‐Active Trinuclear Platinum Complex and Comparison with Its Dinuclear Analogue
Jianhui Zhu,Yongmei Zhao,Yanyan Zhu,Ziyi Wu,Miaoxin Lin,Weijiang He,Yan Wang,Guangju Chen,Lei Dong,Junfeng Zhang,Yi Lu,Zijian Guo +11 more
TL;DR: The remarkable differences between 1 and 2 in DNA binding and cross-linking provide mechanistic insights into their different cytotoxicity against the tumor cell lines; these insights are useful for designing future antitumor agents.

Interaction identification of Zif268 and TATA(ZF) proteins with GC-/AT-rich DNA sequence: A theoretical study.
TL;DR: The calculations of the binding free energies reveal that the affinity energy of Zif268‐DNA complex is larger than that of TATAZF‐DNA one, and the recognition characteristics of the two studied zinc‐finger‐proteins have also been discussed.
