Association of depression with viral load, CD8 T lymphocytes, and natural killer cells in women with HIV infection.
Dwight L. Evans,Thomas R. Ten Have,Steven D. Douglas,David R. Gettes,Mary F. Morrison,Margaret S. Chiappini,Priscilla Brinker-Spence,Carla Job,Delinda E. Mercer,Yan Lin Wang,Dean G. Cruess,Benoit Dubé,Erik A. Dalen,Tiffany Brown,Russell M. Bauer,John M. Petitto +15 more
TL;DR: Findings provide the first evidence that depression may alter the function of killer lymphocytes in HIV-infected women and suggest that depression might decrease natural killer cell activity and lead to an increase in activated CD8 T lymphocytes and viral load.

A novel ion-responsive photonic hydrogel for portable visual detection and timely removal of lead ions in water
TL;DR: Lead ion (Pb2+) contamination is a worldwide serious environment problem and various methods have been developed for detection or removal of Pb2+ in water environment, possessing both highly-selective, visual monitoring and analytical techniques.
A K+-sensitive photonic crystal hydrogel sensor for efficient visual monitoring of hyperkalemia/hypokalemia.
TL;DR: In this article , a K+-sensitive photonic crystal hydrogel (PCH) sensor with bright structural colors for efficient monitoring of serum potassium was presented, which is a simple, low-cost and efficient strategy for visualized monitoring of hyperkalemia/hypokalemia, which will significantly promote the development of biosensors.

Synthesis of tungsten oxide films at low processing temperature and their electrochromic properties
TL;DR: Tungsten oxide films with electrochromic properties were prepared by spin coating WCl6 ethanol solution on indium tin oxide (ITO) glass and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate, and followed heat treatment at 60-400 °C in air for 1 h as mentioned in this paper .
