Effect of Chitosan Solution on the Inhibition of Pseudomonas fluorescens Causing Bacterial Head Rot of Broccoli
TL;DR: The results indicated that the two kinds of chitosan solutions had a potential in controlling bacterial head rot of broccoli and showed strong antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas fluorescens.
Reclassification of Xanthomonas Isolates Causing Bacterial Leaf Spot of Euphorbia pulcherrima
Bin Li,Rong Rong Yu,Yu Shi,Ting Su,Fang Wang,Muhammad Ibrahim,Guan Lin Xie,Yan Li Wang,Guo Chang Sun +8 more
TL;DR: Characterization by polyphasic approaches indicated that the isolates from India, USA and New Zealand could be distinguished based on rep-PCR profiles and gyrB phylogenies, while the Chinese isolates should be ascribed to Xanthomonas axonopodis pv.
Antibacterial activity and mechanism of ThDP analogs against rice brown stripe pathogen Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae RS-1
Xiao Xuan Wang,Hang Ying Qi,Jie Chen,Ying Zi Yang,Wen Qiu,Wei Wang,Peng Zou,Bin Li,Yan Li Wang,Hong Wu He,Guo Chang Sun +10 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that three of the 66 ThDP analogs significantly inhibited the in vitro growth of strain RS-1, but no obvious cell lysis and destruction was found for this rice pathogenic bacterium, which indicated that the antibacterial mechanism of Th DP analogs may be mainly due to the changed expression of ThDP target gene and secretion system related genes rather than causing damage to cell membrane.

TIME FOR COFFEE regulates phytochrome A-mediated hypocotyl growth through dawn-phased signaling.
Yan Li Wang,Chen Su,Yingjun Yu,Yuqing He,Hua Wei,Na Li,Hong Li,Jie Duan,Bin Li,Jigang Li,Seth J. Davis,Lei Wang +11 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that TIC acts as a major negative regulator of phyA by integrating transcriptional and post-translational mechanisms at multiple levels in Arabidopsis thaliana.

Effect of storage methods on virulence variation of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryze
Yuan Fang,Long Biao Guo,Bin Li,Yan Li Wang,Zhong Jin Wang,Guo Chang Sun +5 more
- 01 Jan 2013
TL;DR: The results indicated that the lyophilization and deeper freezer storage should be recommended in the identification of the strains, while it is necessary to use the isolates with stable virulence in screening for the resistance.
