DHA regulates lipogenesis and lipolysis genes in mice adipose and liver
Chao Sun,Zhou-wen Wei,Yan Li +2 more
TL;DR: In adipose tissue, DHA increased the expression of lipogenesis and lipolysis genes, and in liver lipogenesis genes were decreased, but lipolytic genes were increased by DHA, indicating that DHA could reduce body fat mass through regulating lipogenesis

Plasticity of DNA methylation in mouse T cell activation and differentiation
Yan Li,Yan Li,Guobing Chen,Lina Ma,Stephen J. Ohms,Chao Sun,M. Frances Shannon,M. Frances Shannon,Jun Y. Fan +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that DNA methylation is dynamic and flexible in CD4+ T cells and changes rapidly both in a genome-wide and in a targeted manner during T cell activation, differentiation and aging.
IL-2 and GM-CSF are regulated by DNA demethylation during activation of T cells, B cells and macrophages.
TL;DR: It is found that the expression of two cytokines (IL-2 and GM-CSF) responded differently to activation in three types of immune cells: EL4, A20 and RAW264.7 cells.
NF-κB controls Il2 and Csf2 expression during T cell development and activation process.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the expression of inducible genes is accompanied by increased memory/effector type cells and by increased expression level of NF-κB family genes during cell activation and development.
