Air pollution mitigation: Evidence from China's central environmental inspection
TL;DR: In this paper , the impact of central environmental inspection (CEI) on air pollution mitigation in China has been investigated and it is shown that CEI significantly reduced the air quality index (AQI) and concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2, and CO.

Association Between Changes in Timing of Spring Onset and Asthma Hospitalization in Maryland.
Amir Sapkota,Yan Dong,Yan Dong,Linze Li,Linze Li,Ghassem R. Asrar,Yuyu Zhou,Xuecao Li,Frances Coates,Adam J. Spanier,Jonathan Matz,Leonard Bielory,Leonard Bielory,Allison G. Breitenother,Clifford S. Mitchell,Chengsheng Jiang +15 more
- 01 Jul 2020
TL;DR: The observed associations between changes in timing of spring onset and asthma hospitalizations were likely associated with pollen dynamics, ie, early onset of spring could increase the length of the tree pollen season while late onset may increase pollen concentrations because of simultaneous blooming.
Groundwater level changes with a focus on agricultural areas in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, 2002-2016.
Yan Dong,Chengsheng Jiang,Mayhah R. Suri,Daphne Pee,Lingkui Meng,Rachel E. Rosenberg Goldstein,Rachel E. Rosenberg Goldstein +6 more
TL;DR: This study assessed groundwater level changes in the U.S. Mid‐Atlantic region with a focus on cultivated areas to identify and evaluate alternative water sources, such as reclaimed water, to sustain agricultural production and protect groundwater resources.

Research on early warning of wire icing risk level based on machine learning
Jin Young Min,Yan Dong,Chen Oi +2 more
- 01 Aug 2022
TL;DR: Based on the daily wire icing observation data at the observatory from 1980 to 2018, selected the main influencing factors via the relationship between wire icing and meteorological elements by statistical analysis as mentioned in this paper .
Response of Natural Gas Consumption to Temperature and Projection under SSP Scenarios during Winter in Beijing
Jin Young Min,Yan Dong,Hua Wang +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the response of natural gas consumption to temperature on the basis of observations during heating season (middle November-middle March) for the period 2002-2021 in Beijing, China, and then estimates temperature-related changes in the gas consumption under future scenarios by using climate model simulations from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6.
