A study of the composition and structure of chromate conversion coating on aluminum
TL;DR: In this paper, the composition and structure of chromate conversion coating of aluminum and its alloys were investigated using IBA, XPS, AES, IR and DTA, and it was found that the major component of these coatings is CrOOH · n H 2 O and the composition of the major part of the coatings was independent of film thickness.
