High-brightness Eu3+-doped Ca3(PO4)2 red phosphor for NUV light-emitting diodes application

The nitrides Ca2Si5N8:0.5%Eu2+, x%Tm3+(x = 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4) (CSN:0.5E, xT) phosphors were prepared via the high temperature solid-sintering method using CaH2 as calcium source. These phosphors exhibited strong orange long-lasting phosphorescence (LLP) after turning off the activating light. Besides, the CSN:0.5E, 1T phosphor with an afterglow time of more than 200 min (0.32 mcd/m2). Furthermore, the temperature-dependent emission spectra of CSN:0.5E, 1T were investigated from temperature 80–500 K and an anti-quenching phenomenon that the emission intensities increased then decreased under excitation at increased temperature was found. Ultimate, the proposed mechanism on temperature dependence of luminescence was analyzed. This study provides a new perspective for the impact of temperature-dependent problem as a consequence of heating processes in luminescent materials.

Temperature‐Dependent Emission Spectra of Ca2Si5N8:Eu2+, Tm3+ Phosphor and its Afterglow Properties

Blue-emitting Ca2–xMgxSiO4:Ce (00 ≤ x ≤ 10) phosphors were successfully synthesized and characterized Rietveld refinement revealed that four main phases exist within the solid-solution range of CaO-MgO-SiO2, namely, β-Ca2SiO4 (Mg (x) = 00), Ca14Mg2(SiO4)8 (Mg (x) = 025), Ca3Mg(SiO4)2 (Mg (x) = 05), and CaMgSiO4 (Mg (x) = 10) The variation of the IR modes was more prominent with increasing Mg2+ content in the Ca2–xMgxSiO4 materials The sharing of O atoms of the SiO4-tetrahedra by the MgO6-octahedra induced weakening of the Si–O bonds, which resulted in the red shift of the [SiO4] internal modes and appearance of a Mg–O stretching vibration at ∼418 cm–1 Raman measurement revealed that the change of the Ca–O bond lengths because of the Mg2+-substitution directly reflected the frequency shift of the Si–O stretching-Raman modes Notably, the thermal stability of Ca2–xMgxSiO4:Ce (Mg (x) > 00) phosphors was superior to that of β-Ca2SiO4:Ce (Mg (x) = 00) as confirmed by temperature-dependent photolumi

Effect of sintering atmosphere and lithium ion co-doping on photoluminescence properties of NaCaPO4:Eu2+ phosphor

The distinctive optical band gap and photoluminescence of sol-gel Eu3+-doped magnesium lanthanum phosphate thin films on quartz (SiO2) substrate were successfully investigated. Effects of Eu3+ on the various spectroscopic parameters, including FTIR, transmittance, absorption coefficient, optical energy gap, refractive index, dielectric constant, and luminescence were explored. FT-IR measurements are achieved for the undoped and Eu3+-doped films which reinforce the excess oxygens from the MgO, La2O3, and Eu2O3 oxide supports the formation of MLPO and Eu-doped MLPO groups in the tetrahedral phosphate network. The transmittances, reflectance, refractive index, and dielectric constant show a decreasing behavior with increasing the Eu content in the MLP matrix while the absorption coefficient and energy gap show an increase. The emission spectra of Eu-doped MgO:La2O3:P2O5 shows the characteristic electronic transitions of Eu3+ ions in phosphorous-based films.

The invention relates to a CaSi2O2N2: Eu , Dy and Li phosphor, wherein the molar ratio of Ca to Si to O to N to Eu to Dy to Li is (0.91-0.95):2:2:2:0.05:(0.002-0.02):(0.002-0.02); the preparation method of the CaSi2O2N2: Eu , Dy and Li phosphor comprises the steps that: (1) calcium carbonate, silica, silicon nitride, europium oxide, dysprosium oxide and lithium carbonate are mixed, and then ground, dried and sieved; the mixture is calcined for 5-10h at the temperature of 1400-1500 DEG C under nitrogen atmosphere; and (2) the calcined product is smashed, washed and dried, so that the phosphor is obtained. The luminous intensity of the CaSi2O2N2: Eu , Dy and Li phosphor is high; and according to the invention, the production technique is simple, the needed production equipment is simple, and industrialized production is easy to realize.

The invention relates to a method for enhancing the settling stability of YAG:Ce fluorescent powder The method comprises the following steps of: dispersing a silane coupling agent KH550 into an alcohol-water system for hydrolyzing to obtain a KH550 hydrolysate; (2) ultrasonically dispersing the YAG:Ce fluorescent powder into distilled water to obtain a solution; and (3) dropwise adding the KH550 hydrolysate into the solution in the mass ratio of the YAG:Ce fluorescent powder to the KH550 being (10-30):1, reacting for 2-4 hours, and performing post-treatment to obtain the YAG:Ce fluorescent powder with high settling stability in resin The settling stability of the fluorescent powder modified by using the silane coupling agent KH550 is remarkably enhanced in comparison to that of unmodified fluorescent powder in epoxy resin, and the settling speed is lowered remarkably; and the method has a simple process and a good application prospect, and is easy to operate
