Effects of KAATSU training on haemostasis in healthy subjects
Toshiaki Nakajima,Haruhito Takano,Miwa Kurano,Haruko Iida,Nami Kubota,Tomohiro Yasuda,Megumi Kato,Kentaro Meguro,Yoshiaki Sato,Y. Yamazaki,S. Kawashima,Hiroshi Ohshima,Shoichi Tachibana,Taiji Nagata,Takashi Abe,Naokata Ishii,Toshihiro Morita +16 more
TL;DR: The KAATSU training may be a promising training in astronauts to prevent cardiovascular deconditioning and muscle atrophy in space flights as well as athletes and healthy persons as described previously.
Resistance exercise combined with KAATSU during simulated weightlessness
Nami Kubota,Nami Kubota,Haruhito Takano,T Tsutsumi,Miwa Kurano,Haruko Iida,Tomohiro Yasuda,Kentaro Meguro,Toshihiro Morita,Yoshiaki Sato,S. Kawashima,Y. Yamazaki,Hiroshi Ohshima,Shoichi Tachibana,Naokata Ishii,Takashi Abe,Toshiaki Nakajima +16 more
TL;DR: These hemodynamic and neurohumoral responses following head-down tilt and during RE closely approximate the gravity-specific stress observed with LBNP, suggesting that KAATSU may be a useful countermeasure in microgravity.
