Towards registration of temporal mammograms by finite element simulation of MR breast volumes
Yan Qiu,Xuejun Sun,Vasant Manohar,Dmitry B. Goldgof +3 more
- 06 Mar 2008
TL;DR: The experiments show that the use of a 3D finite element model for simulating and analyzing breast deformation contributes to good accuracy when matching suspicious regions in temporal mammograms.

Deblurring of tomosynthesis images using 3D anisotropic diffusion filtering
Xuejun Sun,Walker H. Land,Ravi K. Samala +2 more
- 01 Mar 2007
TL;DR: Results indicate that implicit numerical algorithm with fixed value boundary condition has better performance in enhancing the contrast of tomosynthesis image, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed filtering method in deblurring the out-of-plane artifacts.

Robust segmentation using kernel and spatial based fuzzy c-means methods on breast x-ray images
Xuejun Sun,Dmitry B. Goldgof,Walker H. Land +2 more
- 19 Mar 2008
TL;DR: The proposed robust fuzzy c-means segmentation methods for segmentation of breast region on breast x-ray images, including mammography and tomosynthesis, respectively are much better compared with traditional FCM method, and are more robust to noises.
