Method for detecting CA16 virus gene by color-based reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification
Xuejun Ma,Kai Nie,Luo Le,Wenbo Xu,Yong Zhang,Xiao-Ping Dong +5 more
- 06 Jun 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for detecting CA16 virus gene by color-based reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) was proposed, which is able to complete amplification for 1h in the isothermal environment at 65 DEG C only by one step and finally observing the color variation and white precipitates at the tube bottom with naked eyes to determine the detection result.

Color based reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification technology for detecting EV71 virogene
Xuejun Ma,Kai Nie,Wenbo Xu,Yong Zhang,Xiao-Ping Dong +4 more
- 18 Apr 2012
TL;DR: In this article, a color-based reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification technology (RT-LAMP) is employed, and a conserved sequence of human enterovirus EV71-type VP1 gene is analyzed by professional software of bioinformatics, so as to design six primers that are completely coupled with eight bonding areas in an identified VP1 target sequence and omit steps of individual reverse transcription and a secondary amplification of nest-type PCR.

Novel isothermal multiple self-pairing triggering amplification technology
Xuejun Ma,Xiong Ding,Nie Kai,Wenbo Xu,Lei Shi +4 more
- 04 Mar 2015
TL;DR: In this article, an isothermal multiple self-pairing triggering amplification technology (IMSA) was proposed to amplify a pathogeny gene under the condition of isothermality and under the action of a single functional enzyme without a thermal cycle instrument.
Improved detection limit in rapid detection of human
Xiong Ding,Kai Nie,Lei Shi,Yong Zhang,Li Guan,Dan Zhang,Shunxiang Qi,Xuejun Ma +7 more
- 01 Jan 2014
TL;DR: This proof-of-concept study suggests that the novel RT-IMSA assay is superior to the RT-LAMP assay in terms of detection limit and has the potential to rapidly detect EV71 and CVA16 viruses.
