Strategy for the Improvement of Prodigiosin Production by a Serratia marcescens Mutant through Fed-Batch Fermentation
TL;DR: A Serratia marcescens mutation with rational screening methods and a two-step feeding strategy was used to increase its productivity and it gave a 7.8 times higher prodigiosin production than the parent stain with the original cultivation mode.

Search for live attenuated vaccine candidate against edwardsiellosis by mutating virulence-related genes of fish pathogen Edwardsiella tarda
TL;DR: This study construct and evaluate the live attenuated vaccine against edwardsiellosis on zebra fish model and found it to be a good candidate for use in vaccine selection.

Oxygen vectors used for S-adenosylmethionine production in recombinant Pichia pastoris with sorbitol as supplemental carbon source.
TL;DR: In this paper, a strategy of adding oxygen vectors and supplemental carbon sources to increase the yield of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) in recombinant Pichia pastoris was described.

Investigation of factors affecting biotransformation of phytosterols to 9-hydroxyandrost-4-ene-3,-17-dione based on the HP-β-CD-resting cells reaction system
TL;DR: High substrate concentration and improved reaction rate were achieved in a bioprocess of microbial side-chain cleavage of phytosterols to 9-OH-AD and the main loss of process yield was due to by-product and nucleus degradation in the biotransformation.

Effect of organic cosolvent on kinetic resolution of tert-leucine by penicillin G acylase from Kluyvera citrophila.
TL;DR: Penicillin G acylase from Kluyvera citrophila immobilized on Amberzyml was used for enantioselective hydrolysis of N-phenylacetylated-dl-tert-leucine to produce l-Tle to investigate the effects of various organic cosolvents on hydrolytic activity.
