Desulphurization Strategy for Sonogashira Couplings by Visible Light/Copper Catalysis
TL;DR: The development of new copper-based photocatalysts for organic transformations has become a rapidly growing area of research and has been actively explored in the past several years as discussed by the authors , which has been referred to as "copper photocatalysis".

Copper- and DMF-mediated switchable oxidative C-H cyanation and formylation of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines using ammonium iodide.
TL;DR: Mechanistic studies indicate that the cyanation of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines proceeds through a two-step sequence: initial iodination and then cyanation, which has a broad substrate scope and high functional group tolerance, and can be safely conducted on a gram scale.

Copper-Catalyzed Divergent C-H Functionalization Reaction of Quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones and Alkynes Controlled by N1-Substituents for the Synthesis of (Z)-Enaminones and Furo[2,3-b]quinoxalines.
Guang-Chao Yang,Zhicheng Xiong,Hongsheng Nie,Meiqin He,Qiong Feng,Xuan Li,Huabin Huang,Shoucai Wang,Fanghua Ji,Guangbin Jiang +9 more
TL;DR: This new protocol features mild reaction conditions, readily available materials, and a broad substrate scope, and the desired products exhibited excellent antitumor activity against A549, HepG-2, MCF-7, and HeLa cells, which were tested by MTT assay.

Visible-Light-Promoted Cross Dehydrogenative/Decarboxylative Coupling Cascades of Glycine Ester Derivatives and β-Keto Acids.
TL;DR: In this paper , a visible-light-induced dehydrogenative/decarboxylative coupling reaction of arylglycine derivatives and β-keto acids is described.
