Black Hydroxylated Titanium Dioxide Prepared via Ultrasonication with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity
TL;DR: This work has prepared totally amorphous TiO2 with various degrees of blackness by introducing hydroxyls via ultrasonic irradiation, through which can be remarkably enhance the photocatalytic activity of TiO 2 with improved light harvesting and narrowed band gap.
Fabrication and gas sensing properties of hollow core–shell SnO2/α-Fe2O3 heterogeneous structures
TL;DR: One dimensional hierarchically hollow SnO2/α-Fe2O3 core-shell nanofibers have been synthesized by using electrospun NN as core and calcination of α-FeOOH nanorods on the outer surface of NN as mentioned in this paper.

Preparation of Carbon-Encapsulated ZnO Tetrahedron as an Anode Material for Ultralong Cycle Life Performance Lithium-ion Batteries
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D carbon framework is proposed to encapsulate tetrahedron ZnO nanocrystals that serve as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries.

N-doped TiO2/C nanocomposites and N-doped TiO2 synthesised at different thermal treatment temperatures with the same hydrothermal precursor
TL;DR: The results show that for both N- TiO2/C and N-TiO2, nitrogen was doped into the lattice, thus narrowing the band gap and increasing the absorption in the visible light region.

Carbonate-assisted hydrothermal synthesis of porous hierarchical Co3O4/CuO composites as high capacity anodes for lithium-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this article, a cooperative self-assembly effect of different carbonates has been proposed to explain the formation of nanosheets assembled hierarchical (Cu, Co) 2 (OH) 2 CO 3 precursor.
