Enhanced photoelectrochemical water splitting on hematite thin film with layer-by-layer deposited ultrathin TiO2 underlayer
TL;DR: In this article, an ultrathin TiO2 underlayers, prepared by layer-by-layer deposition of highly crystallized titanate nanosheets (∼0.7nm) followed with calcination, perform well on enhancing photoelectrochemical property of hematite film.

N-Bromoimide/DBU Combination as a New Strategy for Intermolecular Allylic Amination
TL;DR: Dual activation of NBS or NBP by DBU leads to more electrophilic bromine and more nucleophilic nitrogen atoms simultaneously, which may provide a novel and complementary access to allylic amination under mild conditions.

Substrate dependence on (Sb4Se6)n ribbon orientations of antimony selenide thin films: Morphology, carrier transport and photovoltaic performance
TL;DR: In this paper, the growth mechanism and carrier transport behavior of Sb2Se3 thin films with the 1D crystal structure, the structure, properties, and photovoltaic performance of different preferred orientations were systematically characterized.

Enhanced electrochromic properties of a TiO2 nanowire array via decoration with anatase nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochromic properties of a nanocomposite TiO2 film prepared by decorating rutile a nanowire (TiO2 NW) array with anatase TiO 2 nanoparticles via a facile two-step synthesis method were investigated.
