Persistent peri‐Heptacene: Synthesis and In‐Situ Characterization
M. R. Ajayakumar,Ji Ma,Andrea Lucotti,Karl Sebastian Schellhammer,Gianluca Serra,Evgenia Dmitrieva,Marco Rosenkranz,Hartmut Komber,Junzhi Liu,Frank Ortmann,Matteo Tommasini,Xinliang Feng +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel n-peri-heptacene (7-PA) was synthesized by a rational molecular design strategy, in which the reactive zigzag edges were kinetically protected with eight 4-tert-butylphenyl groups.

Fluorenyl hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene-dendritic oligothiophene hybrid materials: synthesis, photophysical properties, self-association behaviour and device performance.
Wallace W. H. Wong,Chang-Qi Ma,Wojciech Pisula,Alexey Mavrinskiy,Xinliang Feng,Helga Seyler,David J. Jones,Klaus Müllen,Peter Bäuerle,Andrew B. Holmes +9 more
TL;DR: The synergistic combination of molecular organisation at the nanoscale and photophysical characteristics derived from the FHBC and DOT moieties leads to a notable improvement of the photovoltaic performance.

sp‐Carbon Incorporated Conductive Metal‐Organic Framework as Photocathode for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Generation
Yang Lu,Haixia Zhong,Jian-Mei Li,Anna Maria Dominic,Yiming Hu,Zhenqiu Gao,Yalong Jiao,Mingjian Wu,Haoyuan Qi,Chuan-chih Huang,Lacey Wayment,Ute Kaiser,Erdmann Spiecker,Inez M. Weidinger,Wei Zhang,Xinliang Feng,Renhao Dong +16 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors developed a layered conductive two-dimensional conjugated metal-organic framework (2D c-MOF) comprising sp−carbon active sites based on arylene-ethynylene macrocycle ligand via CuO4 linking, named as Cu3HHAE2.

Anionic porous polymers with tunable structures and catalytic properties
Wuxue Zhao,Fan Zhang,Ling-Yun Yang,Shuai Bi,Dongqing Wu,Yefeng Yao,Manfred Wagner,Robert Graf,Michael Ryan Hansen,Xiaodong Zhuang,Xiaodong Zhuang,Xinliang Feng +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a series of boron-containing conjugated microporous polymers with hierarchical porous structures have been readily prepared via typical transition metal-catalyzed coupling reactions.
A Shape-Persistent Polyphenylene Spoked Wheel
Yi Liu,Akimitsu Narita,Joan Teyssandier,Manfred Wagner,Steven De Feyter,Xinliang Feng,Klaus Müllen +6 more
TL;DR: Characterizations by NMR spectroscopy and matrix-assisted laser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry provided an unambiguous structural proof for the wheel-like molecule with a molar mass of 3815.4 g/mol, and scanning tunneling microscopy visualization clearly revealed the defined spoked wheel structure of the molecule.
