Yb@C2n (n = 40, 41, 42): New Fullerene Allotropes with Unexplored Electrochemical Properties
TL;DR: It is revealed that all isomers of Yb@C(2n) display one or two reversible oxidation steps together with four reversible reduction processes in 1,2-dichlorobenzene, even at a low scan rate, which enables estimation of their electrochemical bandgaps.

TL;DR: The results suggest that the [4+2] cycloaddition was initiated in a highly regioselective manner at the C-C bond connecting two pentagon rings of C72 and resulted in the formation of an open-cage derivative having three seven-membered ring orifices on the cage and a significantly elongated cage geometry.

Yb@C2n (n = 40, 41, 42): New Fullerene Allotropes with Unexplored Electrochemical Properties.
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of 13C-enriched monoytterbium endohedral metallofullerenes (EMFs) was synthesized and isolated using computational and experimental 13C NMR studies.

Manipulation of Mixed Ligands to Form Single-Layer and Double-Layer Lanthanide Clusters and Their Magnetic Properties
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, benzohydrazide and pyridin-2-ylmethanamine to obtain a single layer of six-core lanthanide clusters.
