Ying-Chun Chen,Xin Yang,Ling Miao,Zhen-Guo Liu,Wei Li,Zhong-Xin Zhao,Xiao-Jiang Sun,Guo-Xin Jiang,Guo-Xin Jiang,Sheng-Di Chen,Qi Cheng +10 more
TL;DR: The serum level of IL-6 was found to be significantly positively correlated with the number of relapse for female MS patients and with the current age for male MS patients, which may support that IL- 6 is involved in the pathogenesis of MS.

Novel hypoglycemic injury mechanism: N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor-mediated white matter damage
Xin Yang,Margaret A. Hamner,Angus M. Brown,Richard D. Evans,Zu Cheng Ye,Sheng-Di Chen,Bruce R. Ransom +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors determined if glutamate receptors were involved in hypoglycemic WM injury, which is a common adverse event and can injure central nervous system (CNS) white matter (WM).
A PSD-95 peptidomimetic mitigates neurological deficits in a mouse model of Angelman Syndrome
K. Lau,Xin Yang,Mengia S. Rioult-Pedotti,Stephen Tang,Mark Appleman,Jianan Zhang,Yuyang Tian,C. Marino,Mudi Yao,Qin Jiang,Ayumi C Tsuda,Yu-Wen Alvin Huang,Cong Cao,John Marshall +13 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that CN2097, a peptidomimetic compound that binds postsynaptic density protein-95 (PSD-95), a TrkB associated scaffolding protein, mitigates deficits in PLC-CaMKII and PI3K/mTOR pathways to restore synaptic plasticity and learning and support the use of neurotrophic therapeutics as a valuable approach for treating AS pathology.
