Poly( l -lactic acid) monofilaments for biodegradable braided self-expanding stent
TL;DR: In this paper, the PLLA monofilaments were prepared via melt spinning and solid-state drawing and the total draw ratios are from 2.8 to 30.8, which indicates that the braided PLLa stent can provide adequate support to the carotid lesion.

Preparation and evaluation of poly(D, L-lactic acid)/poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) blends for tunable sirolimus release
TL;DR: This work can provide a feasible way for tuning drug release in polymer matrices under a blend strategy and improve the design of coating films in drug delivery systems.

Enhanced Corrosion Resistance of Mg and Mg Alloys with Fs-laser Printed Hydrophobic and Periodically Microrippled Surface for Armor Application
TL;DR: Researchers developed a femtosecond laser-printed surface with hydrophobic and microrippled structures on magnesium alloys, enhancing corrosion resistance by 200 times through synergistic effects of superhydrophobicity and nanocrystal layers, suitable for armor applications.

Comparison of pH-controlled lactic acid hydrolysis and xylanase hydrolysis for xylo-oligosaccharides production from delignified poplar
TL;DR: In this article , the xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) yield of 18.5% was acquired from delignified poplar by xylanase hydrolysis at pH 2.5, an increase of 20.2% when compared with the original pH value (2.0).
