Extraction optimization, physicochemical property, antioxidant activity and α-glucosidase inhibitory effect of polysaccharides from lotus seedpods.
Huwei Wu,Lin-Yan Shu,Tian Liang,Yanping Li,Yuanxiang Liu,Xiuli Zhong,Lingyu Xing,Wei Zeng,Rui Zhao,Xiaoyin Wang +9 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that lotus seedpod polysaccharides have potentials as natural antioxidants and hypoglycaemic substitutes and were determined to be a mixed-type noncompetitive inhibitor of α-glucosidase.

Physicochemical property and antioxidant activity of polysaccharide from the seed cakes of Camellia oleifera Abel
Meidan Wei,Yuxin Hu,Wan-Hong Zou,Yanping Li,Yiyang Cao,Shangtong Li,Jing Huang,Lingyu Xing,Bingjie Huang,Xiaoyin Wang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the antioxidant properties of Camellia oleifera Abel (COCP) in vitro and in vivo, and showed that COCP exhibited the polysaccharide's characteristic absorption in the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and showed as sheet-like structures with a smooth surface under the scanning electron microscope (SEM).
