Opprentice: Towards Practical and Automatic Anomaly Detection Through Machine Learning
Dapeng Liu,Youjian Zhao,Haowen Xu,Yongqian Sun,Dan Pei,Jiao Luo,Xiaowei Jing,Mei Feng +7 more
- 28 Oct 2015
TL;DR: The proposed system, Opprentice (Operators' apprentice), allows operators to label data in only tens of minutes, while operators traditionally have to spend more than ten days selecting and tuning detectors, which may still turn out not to work in the end.

FUNNEL: Assessing Software Changes in Web-Based Services
Shenglin Zhang,Ying Liu,Dan Pei,Chen Yu,Qu Xianping,Shimin Tao,Zang Zhi,Xiaowei Jing,Mei Feng +8 more
TL;DR: An automated tool for rapid and robust impact assessment of software changes in large Internet-based services, FUNNEL, which achieves a 98.21 percent precision, high robustness, fast detection speed, and shows its capability in detecting unexpected behavior changes.

Learning thresholds for PV change detection from operators' labels
Dapeng Liu,Youjian Zhao,Kaixin Sui,Shiwen Cheng,Dan Pei,Chengbin Quan,Jiao Luo,Xiaowei Jing,Mei Feng +8 more
- 14 Dec 2015
TL;DR: PTL can improve the accuracy of detection dramatically, and introduces very little labeling overhead for operators, when detecting the PVs of 103 ISPs, and can reduce the overall false negative rate from 96% to 9% using only 29 labels per week on average.
High Capacity Reversible Watermarking Scheme for 2D Vector Maps
Xiaowei Jing,Mei Feng,Biao Guo,Liang Chen,Youjian Zhao,Mingqin Geng +5 more
- 01 Oct 2015
TL;DR: This paper presents a high capacity reversible watermarking scheme for 2D vector maps that applies an integer transform to a coordinate pair and embeds one watermark bit.
