A novel method for designing a seven-bar linkage based on the optimization of centrodes is presented in this paper. The proposed method is applied to the design of a pure-rolling cutting mechanism, wherein close interrelation between the contacting lines and centrodes of two pure-rolling bodies is formulated and the genetic optimization algorithm is adopted for the dimensional synthesis of the mechanism. The optimization is conducted to minimize the error between mechanism centrodes and the expected trajectories, subject to the design requirements of the opening distance, the maximum amount of overlap error, and peak value of shearing force. An optimal solution is obtained and the analysis results show that the horizontal slipping and standard deviation of the lowest moving points of the upper shear blade have been reduced by 78.0% and 80.1% and the peak value of shear stress decreases by 29%, which indicate better cutting performance and long service life.

This paper through the site of a high strength low alloy steel shear test, a linear regression equation for the relation between knife-gap and plate thickness is obtained and optimize by using MATLAB Toolbox, after optimization of the linear regression equation can be conveniently used, reduce knife-gap adjustment time, improve production efficiency, reduce shearing defects.

Influence of Different Factors on the Anti-Penetration Performance of Three-Layer Steel - Aluminum Composite Structure under Equal Surface Density

Rolling-cut shear is the key equipment of medium plate producing 1ine, while pure rolling shear was set as the target, so that the rolling line is smooth, and the quality of products is improved. This paper describes an investigation into the work Mechanism of rolling-cut shear. A parametric model of rolling-cut shear has been constructed by using ADAMS software. This model was used for two working rolling-cut shear to verify factors influencing quality of products. The influences of the amount of scissors overlapping and shear force are also discussed. The indications are that the length of crank and guard bar, preliminary angle of the crank, the articulated point location of guard bar and frame are key factors to the amount of scissors overlapping and equivalent shear angle. These structure parameters are selected as design variables and the optimization model which was used to reduce scissors overlapping and shear force has been suggested. This optimization model has been employed successfully in the developing of rolling-cut shear 3800 to obtain reasonable mechanism dimensions and improve shearing quality and reduce motor power. The study results provide new idea for developing and optimum design of rolling-cut shear.

Rolling cut shears are important equipments of steel plate production. They have significant influences on the quantity and quality of products. There are many relative factors that influence the performance of rolling cut shears. For the optimization of mechanism design of rolling cut shears, a CAD software has been developed and was used for the analysis of the factors such as crank radius, link rod length, phase difference, center distance of cranks and the offset position of upper blade carriage, which influence cutting quality and strength parameters. The study results provide the designers with important references. The developed CAD software can be used for optimization design of rolling cut shears.
