Ciliary IFT80 balances canonical versus non-canonical hedgehog signalling for osteoblast differentiation
TL;DR: It is shown that deletion of ciliary IFT80 in OB precursor cells (OPC) in mice results in growth retardation and markedly decreased bone mass with impaired OB differentiation, and is highlighted as a therapeutic target for craniofacial and skeletal abnormalities.
Enhanced healing of rat calvarial defects with MSCs loaded on BMP-2 releasing chitosan/alginate/hydroxyapatite scaffolds.
TL;DR: In vivo bone formation showed that the CAH/B2 scaffold induced more bone formation than other groups, and the release kinetics of BMP-2 were delayed compared with those from collagen gel, which is widely used for B MP-2 delivery.
Integration of a Novel Injectable Nano Calcium Sulfate/Alginate Scaffold and BMP2 Gene-Modified Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Bone Regeneration
TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the combination of injectable nCS/A paste and BMP2-gene-modified MSCs is a new and effective strategy for the repair of bone defects.

Enhancement of posterolateral lumbar spine fusion using recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 and mesenchymal stem cells delivered in fibrin glue
TL;DR: Findings show that mesenchymal stem cells delivered with recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 using fibrin glue as carrier are more effective in enhancing spine fusion than recombinanthuman bone morphogenseticprotein-2 without meschymalstem cells in the rabbit model.

The prognostic prediction of periodontal non-surgery therapy in periodontitis patients based on surface-enhanced Raman measurements of pre-treatment saliva.
Shuo Chen,Haotian Wu,Chen Chen,Daheng Wang,Yarui Yang,Zheng Zhou,Ruocheng Zhu,Xiaoning He,Yaping Pan,Cheng Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a pre-treatment saliva SERS-based prognostic protocol was explored to predict the prognosis of periodontal non-surgery therapy in periodontitis patients.
