Marginal sealing around integral bilayer scaffolds for repairing osteochondral defects based on photocurable silk hydrogels.
Xiaolin Wu,Mingliang Zhou,Fei Jiang,Shi Yin,Sihan Lin,Guangzheng Yang,Yuezhi Lu,Wenjie Zhang,Xinquan Jiang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bilayer scaffold combined with a photocurable silk sealant for osteochondral repair is reported, and the results demonstrate that the new approach of marginal sealing around the cartilage layer with Sil-MA hydrogel has tremendous potential for clinical use.

Copper peptide-incorporated 3D-printed silk-based scaffolds promote vascularized bone regeneration
Mingliang Zhou,Xiaolin Wu,Jiaxin Luo,Guangzheng Yang,Yuezhi Lu,Sihan Lin,Fei Jiang,Fei Jiang,Wenjie Zhang,Xinquan Jiang +9 more
TL;DR: 3D-printed silk-based scaffolds with sustained release of copper peptide, a copper ion-specific binding tripeptide, were fabricated and exhibited similar therapeutic effects to free copper ions, with lower toxicity.

Regulating macrophage-MSC interaction to optimize BMP-2-induced osteogenesis in the local microenvironment
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explored how proinflammatory signals affect the dose-dependent osteogenic potential of BMP-2, and they observed that the expression level of local IL-1β did not increase with the dose of Bmp-2 in the mouse osteogenesis model.

The Translation from In Vitro Bioactive Ion Concentration Screening to In Vivo Application for Preventing Peri-implantitis.
Shi Yin,Sun Ningjia,Fei Jiang,Yuezhi Lu,Guangzheng Yang,Xiaolin Wu,Sihan Lin,Wenjie Zhang,Xinquan Jiang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step screening of zinc and strontium ions was performed to determine the optimal coating with effective release concentrations of the two ions for a specific application.
