Synthesis of Polyacrylate-Styrene/Nanotitanium Dioxide Composite Particles via Miniemulsi on Polymerization with Surfmer
Jihang Li,Qin Yu,Hong Chen,Caiqing Hou,Xinhao Dong,Xiaolin Wu,Tenglong Gao,Zirong Zheng,Shiliang Liu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, nano-TiO2/polyacrylate-styrene composite mini-emulsions were synthesized from in-situ free-radical copolymerization of nano-tiO2, butyl methacryl, styrene, and N,N-dimethyl hexadecyl vinylbenzyl ammonium chloride (VDAC) and characterized via transmission electron microscopy, laser particle analysis, X-ray diffraction, and an apparent viscometer.

Synthesis, Characterization, and Aqueous Properties of an Amphiphilic Terpolymer with a Novel Nonionic Surfmer
TL;DR: A series of surfactive amphiphilic polymer PAADs were prepared from the copolymerization of sodium acrylate, dodecyl polyoxyethylene acrylated (DPA, a surfmer), and acrylamide under the action of a mixed initiating agent consisting of ammonium persulfate-sodium bisulfite/2,2 - azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl) propane] dihydrochloride as discussed by the authors.
