This study examines the role of financial service providers (FSPs) in assessing the supply chain credit of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and how they help SMEs obtain supply chain finance (SCF) through an established digital platform using big data analytics (BDA).,This study conducted data mining analysis on the archival data of China's FSPs in the mobile production industry from 2015 to 2018, using neural networks in the first stage and multiple regression in the second stage.,The findings suggest that digital platforms sponsored by FSPs have a discriminative effect based on implicit BDA on identifying the quality and potential risks of borrowers. The results also show that tailored information utilised by FSPs has a supportive effect based on explicit BDA in helping SMEs obtain financing.,This study contributes to the emergent research on BDA in supply chain management by extending the contextual research on information signalling and platform theory in SCF. Furthermore, it examines the distinctive financing decision models of FSPs and provides a solution that addresses the information deficiency and overload of both lenders and borrowers and plays a certain reference role in alleviating the financing problems of SMEs.

Big data analytics in digital platforms: how do financial service providers customise supply chain finance?

At present, the efficiency of electronic technology is minimized the improper funding system which decreases the growth of information technology. Hence, in this research, an optimized financial model has been designed and developed step by step based on an e-commerce assisted framework of operational research (ECFOR). The use of the e-commerce platform has been integrated throughout life and a discussion has been conducted on the structure of the Operational Research-based advanced financing model. This model helps to examine the key parts involved in the funding process and improves the conventional advance payment in contrast with this modern funding model. The congenital superiority of this kind of funding system helps to improve the current financial model through operational research. Finally, it has concluded that the e-commerce-based prepaid financing model helps to reduce the risk of related parties and it has been used to improve the efficiency of financing.

Research on operational research-based financial model based on e-commerce platform

This paper fills the gap in the financial perspective of supply chain performance measurement, related to the lack of a bankruptcy probability indicator, and proposes a predictor which is the eighth-model of the Altman Z-Score Logistic Regression. Furthermore, a bankruptcy probability ranking is established for the companies’ supply chains, according to the industry to which they belong. Moreover, the values are set to establish three categories of companies according to predictor. The probability of bankruptcy is analysed and studied for the supply chain of different industries. The building industry is revealed to have the highest probability of bankruptcy.

Analysis of the Economic Sustainability of the Supply Chain Sector by Applying the Altman Z-Score Predictor

The aim of the study is to measure the effectiveness of commercial banks in the agricultural financing in Turkey. For this purpose, 10 different criteria are identified based on five different SERVQUAL perspectives. Moreover, 10 different Turkish deposit banks traded on BIST are taken into consideration in the analysis process. Interval type-2 fuzzy DEMATEL (IT2 FDEMATEL) method is used to weight the dimensions and criteria. Also, deposit banks are ranked with interval type-2 fuzzy TOPSIS (IT2 FTOPSIS). The findings show that flexibility of needs, branch availability, and qualified personnel are the most important criteria for agricultural financing. Hence, it is recommended that banks design a system in which customers can access the banks in flexible times related to the agricultural financing. Another important recommendation is that banks open new branches near the agricultural regions so that farmers can reach the banking services easily. Furthermore, banks should also improve their personnel for agricultural issues with necessary trainings.

SERVQUAL-Based Performance Analysis of Agricultural Financing in E-Banking Industry: An Evaluation by IT2 Fuzzy Decision-Making Model


Purpose
Financing remains a serious concern for firms and is considered the main hurdle in the growth and development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Recently, a new stream of financing (SCF; supply chain finance) has emerged to meet the financing issues of SMEs. Therefore, measuring SCF is essential to support SMEs’ operations. This study aims to develop and validate the SCF scale based on extant literature.


Design/methodology/approach
Using a mixed-method approach, this study recruited different samples of SME entrepreneurs to confirm the internal consistency, assess construct validity and check the item structure of the SCF scale in AMOS.


Findings
The outcomes of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated the six factors of SCF (inventory financing, working capital optimization, reverse financing, fixed assets financing, logistics financing and order cycle financing) spread over 21 items. An interitem solid structure of the SCF scale offers invaluable contributions to the supply chain management literature.


Practical implications
This research supports SME entrepreneurs to obtain secure financing at the best cost, mitigating the risk of default, supporting the buyers’ payment terms, providing early payment to suppliers and strengthening the firm’s value chains. SMEs can obtain financing per their requirements to support their operational business processes. Moreover, SMEs can plan, manage and control finance-related transactional activities by correctly identifying financing solutions.


Originality/value
The present study contributes to SCM literature by developing and validating the SCF scale. To the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first study that redefined SCF and identified its six dimensions.


Measuring supply chain finance: a study of scale development and validation in the emerging market context

The difficulty of financing in agricultural production is a key issue that restricts the development of agriculture. As an integrator of agricultural supply chain, agricultural logistics park has advantages in resource integration. Based on the information platform of agricultural logistics park, this paper constructed the supply chain finance mode of P2B (Platform to Business), and reoriented the function of the information platform of agricultural logistics park, aiming at solving the problem of information asymmetry and high financing risk in agricultural financing.

Research on Supply Chain Finance Model based on Agricultural Logistics Park Information Platform

The purpose of supply chain integration is to improve the operating efficiency of supply chain, enhance the competitive advantage of each node enterprise, and constantly provide higher value for customers. Based on the basic theory of dual-channel supply chain operation, this paper constructs a dual-channel supply chain integration model by using the structural characteristics of DNA molecules and the relationship between core elements in the process of dual-channel integration. It aims to explore the process of channel value creation, weaken the conflict between channels, achieve synergistic effect, and provide the basis for the decision of channel integration.
