One of the possible mechanisms for the inhibition effect of Tb(III) on peroxidase activity in horseradish ( Armoracia rusticana ) treated with Tb(III)
Shaofen Guo,Shaofen Guo,Rui Cao,Aihua Lu,Qing Zhou,Tianhong Lu,Tianhong Lu,Xiaolan Ding,Chaojun Li,Xiaohua Huang +9 more
TL;DR: The planarity of the heme active center in the Tb–HRP molecule was increased and the extent of exposure of Fe(III) in heme was decreased, leading to inhibition of the electron transfer.

Abnormal pinocytosis and valence-variable behaviors of cerium suggested a cellular mechanism for plant yield reduction induced by environmental cerium.
Lihong Wang,Lihong Wang,Jingfang He,Qing Yang,Xiaofen Lv,Jigang Li,David D. Y. Chen,Xiaolan Ding,Xiaohua Huang,Qing Zhou +9 more
TL;DR: The findings directly show the special cellular behavior of Ce in plant cells, which may be the cellular basis of plant yield reduction induced by environmental Ce.

Molecular and cellular mechanism of the effect of La(III) on horseradish peroxidase.
TL;DR: It was found that La(III) could interact with O and/or N atoms in the backbone/side chains of the HRP molecule in the cell membrane of horseradish treated with 80 μM La( III), leading to the formation of a new complex of La and HRP (La–HRP).

Promoter effect of La3+ on the electrochemical reaction of microperoxidase-11
Hui-Jun Jiang,Xiaohua Huang,Xiao-Feng Wang,Xi Li,Wei Xing,Xiaolan Ding,Tianhong Lu,Tianhong Lu +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of La 3+ on the electrochemical behavior and structure of heme undecapeptide (MP-11) in the aqueous solution was investigated using cyclic voltammetry, circular dichroism (CD) and UV-vis absorption spectrometry.

Effect of Tris on catalytic activity of MP-11.
Zhaopeng Qi,Xi Li,Dongmei Sun,Cun Li,Tianhong Lu,Tianhong Lu,Xiaolan Ding,Xiaohua Huang,Xiaohua Huang +8 more
TL;DR: It was found for the first time that Tris would inhibit the catalytic activity and electrochemical reaction of MP-11 at the glassy carbon (GC) electrode.
