TL;DR: An integrative multiomics analysis of the SLC 12 family in multicenter UVM datasets found that high expression of SLC12A3 and SLC11A9 was associated with unfavorable prognosis, and the HCP5-miR-140-5p axis was identified as a potential noncoding RNA pathway upstream of S LC12A1, which may represent a novel predictor for clinical prognosis and responsiveness to checkpoint blockade immunotherapy.
DAPL1 deficiency in mice impairs antioxidant defenses in the RPE and leads to retinal degeneration with AMD-like features
Xiaoyin Ma,Huaicheng Chen,Shu-yu Jian,Junhao He,You-Xia Liu,Shuxian Han,Lifu Chang,Pingping Li,Yi Chen,Xiaoyan Liu,Xiaojuan Hu,Yu Chen,Ling Hou +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors showed that deficiencies in Dapl1, a susceptibility gene for human AMD, impair the antioxidant capacity of the RPE and lead to age-related retinal degeneration in the 18-month-old mice homozygous for a partial deletion of Dapl 1.
